Click and Collect: Click and Collect

About using Newman's Click and Collect service

Click and Collect a book or item from the Library

If you are a Newman student or member of staff, you can request up to 5 items to ‘click and collect’. These will be available from the next working day – but you need to book an appointment.

Please check on the Library Catalogue to make sure the book you need is ‘available’ before you make a request.

Some items are not available to click and collect, including items which are:

  • on loan to someone else
  • reference only
  • not owned by Newman University Library

After completing the item details you’ll be asked to book a time slot to come and collect your books.

You need to complete the following information:

  • Author (required)
  • Title (required)
  • Shelfmark (required), e.g. 658.45/SHE
  • Year published (optional)
  • Edition (optional)
  • Your first name (required)
  • Your last name (required)
  • Your Newman email address (required)
  • Library borrower number (begins with a P on your Newman ID card) (required)
  • Your phone number (required)

Use the Request another book button if you want a further book - up to a maximum of 5 books. You only need to book one appointment to collect them.

Your appointment

After you've made your book request, you’ll need to book an appointment time to collect your book(s) from the Library from Monday to Friday, between 9:30am and 4:30pm.

You can only collect your items during your 15 minute booked appointment time.

We will issue the books to you before you arrive for your appointment, but you need to bring your University ID card with you to confirm your identity.

If you need a bag to carry the books, please bring one with you.

You need to wear a face covering in the Library, unless you are exempt from this for any reason.

The Government website explains more about this national requirement and the exemptions.
