Assess opportunities to participate in transformative agreements, which allow authors to publish Open Access at no additional cost or at a discounted rate.
Provide access to an institutional fund which may cover some or all of the cost of Open Access publication. Priority will be given to publications in fully Open Access journals which are eligible for REF2029.
Support Birmingham Newman researchers who are funded by external bodies to meet any Open Access requirements which are a condition of their funding
Encourage authors to choose the most appropriate publication venue for their work based on a range of criteria and not purely based on metrics.
